"For The Love Of...Jerky"
My name is Izzy and I am the founder of Bizzy Jerky. My love for jerky started at a young age with my mom cooking up batches for football games and parties. Once you eat homemade beef jerky there is no liking the store bought jerky. Throughout the years my mom "lost" her jerky maker and was unable to make us jerky anymore. Every year for my birthday I would ask her if she found it and to make me jerky because everywhere I search I wasn't satisfied with the brands I would find when traveling. I always had the craving for homemade beef jerky. On my 26th birthday my mom surprised me with a dehydrator! I was ecstatic and that is where my jerky venture began.
Why Teal? I first made batches for the family here and there not too often but after my mother-in-law was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer I took time off of work to help care for her and started making batches and batches for the family who would come visit. They raved about my jerky and put an idea in my head to start selling it. Noemi passed after battling ovarian cancer for a year and once that happened something just snapped and I decided for her I am going to share my jerky with you. She loved it and I know you will too. I use the color teal to raise awareness about this deadly disease and remind me why I am doing this, to stay strong like she did and never give up!
How It's Made
My beef jerky is handcrafted in small batches using top sirloin to give you the highest quality possible. Most flavors are gluten free except for my Peppered IPA which is marinated in beer to give it a refreshing hop taste that accentuates the hickory smoke flavor of the jerky. No GMO, No preservatives. My flavors range from BBQ sweet to flamin' hot sriracha. What ever you choose you won't be disappointed, me and my family hope you love it!
